Your safety and health are of the utmost priority to us. In light of the recent announcements of our host country in response to the COVID-19 virus, please read this announcement carefully.
UCI is suspending all services and events at the Dutch Chapel and Union Han for two weeks beginning today –March 15 through 28 March.
In a time of fear and uncertainty, it is wonderful to know that there is hope in the name of Jesus! “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear . . .” (Psalm 46:1, 2).
While we are discouraging large gatherings for your safety and health, we invite you to worship with us via our website today. The audio sermon is ready to listen to at your leisure and can be found through the link below.
In preparation for the sermon, we suggest singing your favorite hymns and coming together in prayer.
All ministries under UCI will be on hold until further notice to protect participants and workers.
May we continue to fix our eyes on Jesus, and may we not be overcome by fear, but lean on the One who has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-control. Let us pray that God would help us overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Psalmist encourages us to “trust in the Lord, and do good” (Psalm 37:3). Let’s be vigilant, wise, and loving in our response to this health crisis. Above all, may we affirm our hope in Christ and be “prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15). This is a time for caution, yes, but also a time for loving witness and service to those around us.
With hope in Christ,
The UCI Pastoral Council and Communications team
